  • Justice for Oppressed Bodies

    Utilizing an Anti-Oppressive, Anti-Racist, Intersectional lens, presenter will explore the impacts of race and racism on eating disorders and eating disorder treatment. Themes will include an introduction on Intersectionality by Kimberly Crenshaw, toxic diet culture and racism, the current limitations of the body positivity movement, the dangers of racism and fatphobia, how practitioners can demand justice for all bodies, and resources available. Presenter will share themes from research and their lived experience highlighting Anti-racist, Anti-Oppressive care.
